Just one word

Just one word can make a difference
Setting off heartache and turmoil
Setting into effect confusion and doubt
What was meant doesn’t matter
It’s how it was understood that does
How do we take it back and make it right?
How do you un ring a bell?
How do you mend the hurt?

Just one word can mean the world
Deepening love and futures promises
Hopes and dreams reinforced by just one word
The innocence so pure, the trust entrenched
Binding two hearts together with hope
How do we grow that trust?
How do we entrench our word?
How do we sustain our love?

Just one word can make the world
Just one work spoken with love
Even when misunderstood
The love you know I have for you
Should have steered you to know
That it was not meant the way it was seen
But all my actions of the past will tell you
That you are all I ever want, it has always been so
You are my everything means just that.
you are my everything
