Pain is its just reward

what a useless emotion love is. I used to believe in love but have come to resent it for all its turmoil and pain.
Jealousy and envy another two emotions that saps ones strength diverting attention and focus.
Of course the realization that love is in its essence the mother of those two emotions giving birth to the its most damning offspring.

I have hurt and roamed about in turmoil and confusion trying to reason, placing answers or conclusions to the most innocent of actions. To love is to trust to offer your vulnerability, exposing your weaknesses. Pain is always the reward

Moments past

" It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over."
Paulo Coelho - The Zahir

Your laughter

Take bread away from me, if you wish,
take air away, but
do not take from me your laughter.

Do not take away the rose,
the lance flower that you pluck,
the water that suddenly
bursts forth in joy,
the sudden wave
of silver born in you.

My struggle is harsh and I come back
with eyes tired
at times from having seen
the unchanging earth,
but when your laughter enters
it rises to the sky seeking me
and it opens for me all
the doors of life.

My love, in the darkest
hour your laughter
opens, and if suddenly
you see my blood staining
the stones of the street,
laugh, because your laughter
will be for my hands
like a fresh sword.

Next to the sea in the autumn,
your laughter must raise
its foamy cascade,
and in the spring, love,
I want your laughter like
the flower I was waiting for,
the blue flower, the rose
of my echoing country.

Laugh at the night,
at the day, at the moon,
laugh at the twisted
streets of the island,
laugh at this clumsy
boy who loves you,
but when I open
my eyes and close them,
when my steps go,
when my steps return,
deny me bread, air,
light, spring,
but never your laughter
for I would die.

Close your eyes

Close your eyes
and open your heart
and feel my soul.....
touching you,
needing you,
wanting you,
every second
of every day,
begging you
in soft
and breathless
whispers
for your passion
and your love

Contemplation.

"My tears are like the quiet drift of petals from some magic rose; and all my grief flows from the rift of unremembered skies and snows. I think that if I touched the earth, it would crumble; it is so sad and beautiful, so tremulously like a dream."
Dylan Thomas

infinite

" I want to fall to sleep with you,
and I could care less
whether it is in
layers upon layers
of clothing
or only our skin -
all I really want is to wake up
not knowing
where I end and you begin."
Beau Taplin

Lovers

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don’t know any other way of loving.”
- Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets -
